City of Darkness

City of Darkness is a 2022 American science fiction action film written, co-produced, and directed by Denis Villeneuve. Among the Sleep

Among the Sleep is a 2022 American epic science fiction thriller film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Among the Sleep premiered in Los Angeles on January 28th, 2022, and was released on February 19th; it was a financial success, grossing $985 million worldwide on its $157 million budget, and received universal acclaim, with praise for Shyamalan's direction, screenplay, visual effects, its aesthetics, the performances, the emotional weight of the story, cinematography, James Newton Howard's score, and references to the source material, as well as its different approaches. It is widely considered to be one of the greatest films ever made, as well as one of the best game adaptions of all time. Diesel's performance was widely acclaimed, earning him an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, while Brewster was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.

The Blood Wolf

The film premiered in Los Angeles on December 18th, 2026; releasing 4 days later, it grossed $2.191 billion worldwide and became the highest-grossing release of the series. Upon release, The Blood Wolf was met with universal acclaim, with praise for its visual style, musical score, direction, action sequences, the darker tone, story, performances (particularly Skarsgård, Stone, Krasinski, and Weaver), themes, and emotional weight. A direct sequel entitled The Howling Death: New Blood will revive the series in 2029.

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Fate of the Legion

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Knight of Springtrap

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Knight of Springtrap is a 2025 American epic action film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it is a back-to-back sequel to A Nightmare's Wrath and the third installment in the High Legion film series. The film was also a financial success like its predecessors, grossing $917 million worldwide and became one of the most successful launch items in HBO Max's history. Area 51

Area 51 is a 2022 American science fiction film written, co-produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan. It is based on the US Air Force base of the same name. It also attained a strong cult following, grossing $79 million worldwide against its $1.19 million budget. After its release, Area 51 was later critically reevaluated and is now widely considered Nolan's magnum opus and one of the greatest science fiction films ever made, especially for its groundbreaking effects and for reassessing Diesel's acting. It was also selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by Library of Congress, finding it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" in 2027.

Celestials: The Origins

Celestials: The Origins is a 2024 American superhero film based on Jaxon Harmon's superhero team the Celestials. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it was originally intended to be a sequel to the first film, but after it was renamed, it was released as a prequel. Directed by Tim Story, from a screenplay and story by Joss Whedon, the film stars Timothèe Chalamet, Jamie Bell, Zac Efron, Odeya Rush, Oscar Isaac, Donald Glover, Don Cheadle, and David Harbour. In the film, a power-hungry supervillain manipulates the mascot of Fredbear's Family Diner into causing the bite of '83, not knowing that he would create a vengeful superhero destined to kill him. The mascot, now known as Golden Freddy, allies with a good-hearted animatronic called Shadow Freddy to stop his nemesis and form the Celestials. The Origins was released on August 4th, 2024. It became the second-highest-grossing film of 2024, grossing $546 million worldwide, and received positive reviews from critics, who praised its visual effects, direction, screenplay, action sequences, musical score, Chamelet, Bell, Rush, and Isaac's performances, themes, and faithfulness to the first film. A sequel, taking place after the events of Celestials and this film, is in development.

Five Nights at Freddy's: A Nightmare's Wrath

Five Nights at Freddy's: A Nightmare's Wrath is a 2024 American epic action film written, co-produced, and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. Produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it is the second installment in the High Legion film series. It became the highest-grossing film of 2024, grossing $916 million worldwide, and was a huge financial success. A back-to-back sequel, The Knight of Springtrap, was released a year later.

Celestials

Celestials is a 2022 American superhero film written, co-produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan. Based on Jaxon Harmon's superhero team of the same name and produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment, it is the first film in the Celestial Five Nights at Freddy's Universe (FNAFU). Celestials began filming on October 1st, 2016, with Sony Pictures Releasing as the distributor. Sony hired Nolan to direct, and further filming occurred just 1 year later; following its premiere in San Francisco, the film was released on February 12th, 2022. It was a box-office success, grossing $581 million worldwide, and receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences, citing its performances, story, visual effects, and the action sequences. Its critical and financial success revitalized the superhero genre, particularly around the villainous variation of Golden Freddy. A prequel entitled Celestials: The Origins was released 2 years later, while a sequel is in development.

However, several of the crew who made the games panned the film for its character development, with many of them feeling that the story has no faith despite Shyamalan making a clear statement that it takes place after the events of the games. Its success prompted Shyamalan to develop multiple sequels, beginning with the 2024 film A Nightmare's Wrath.

The Eagle's Wisdom

The film became the best reviewed Galaxy's Edge film, and is considered the fitting end to the series.

Cyclops

Critics praised the film for its cast, mature tone, action sequences, Blomkamp's direction, visual effects, cinematography, respect to its source material, Bear McCreary's musical score, and emotional weight, but criticized the dialogue, storyline, pacing, and overuse of the alien characterization.
