Skunk Ape

Skunk Ape is a 2026 American action horror film written and directed by James Wan. It is based on the mythological creature of the same name, as well as the fourth overall installment in the Bigfoot film series and the first chronologically. The film stars Riley Keough, Katherine Waterson, Jeffrey Wright, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Lucas Black, Anne Hathaway, Joel Edgerton, and James Badge Dale. It follows Ellie Lane (reprised by Keough), who goes on a rampage after discovering who killed her parents; the Skunk Ape. She seeks the help of Danny Quinto (reprised by Wright) and his son Warren (reprised by Abdul-Mateen), as well as Allison and David (reprised by Hathaway and Dale), to track the creature down. Skunk Ape was released in theaters on October 17th, 2026; grossing $782 million worldwide, the film was a box-office success but was not well-received. The Hike of Everest

The Hike of Everest is a 2024 action adventure film written and directed by Denis Villeneuve. The Hike of Everest was released on January 25th, 2024; the film became a critical and commercial success, receiving praise for its direction, visual style, musical score, performances, action sequences, screenplay, ambition, modernization, themes, and emotional weight. It grossed $2.21 billion worldwide, becoming the highest grossing film of 2024. Hathaway’s performance was widely acclaimed and lauded, and she was awarded a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Leading Role. A sequel is in development with Hathaway set to reprise her role and Villeneuve returning as the director.

The Howling Death: New Blood

The Howling Death: New Blood is a 2029 American action thriller film written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, the producer of the film’s predecessors, written by David Twohy, and produced by Legendary Pictures and del Toro. It is the fifth installment in The Chronicles of Mister Wolf film series, as well as the direct sequel to The Blood Wolf, which had initially concluded the series. The film stars Alexander Skarsgård and Emma Stone who reprise their roles from the previous films, with John Krasinski, Tyrese Gibson, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Laurence Fishburne also returning, and they are joined by Taissa Farmiga, Everleigh McDonell, Demián Bichir, and Colin Farrell. It follows a rookie cop who is left behind in a snowy forest by her corrupt squad, only to be saved by Marcus Black. Both want to kill the cops, and they join forces with Larry Kress, who Black thought to be dead, and they begin to hunt the cops. New Blood opened in theaters on January 19th, 2029; it received generally positive reviews with praise for the thrills, del Toro’s direction, the action sequences, and Skarsgård and Farmiga’s performances, but criticism for its needlessly similar story and graphic violence. It was also a financial success like the rest of the films, grossing $918 million worldwide. A sequel is in development.

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Prophecy

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Prophecy is a 2029 American science fiction action film and the direct sequel to Resurrections, being released 10 months after that film. It is the final installment in the High Legion film series, which takes place after the Five Nights At Freddy's horror games. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, produced by Legendary Pictures, and written by M. The film opened in theaters on Christmas, December 25th, 2029; the film was met with universal acclaim, with strong praise for its emotional depth, visual effects, action sequences, musical score, ambition, uncompromising tone, Trevorrow's direction, storytelling, and the performances of Johnson, Portman, Jackman, McDonell, Crispin Glover, Welker, and Fishburne. It is considered among the most satisfying conclusions of all time, and was selected by the National Board of Review as one the top ten best films of 2029.

Solarcraft

Solarcraft is a 2022 American science fiction drama film written, co-produced, and directed by Christopher Nolan. It is about a wilderness adventurer who is sent in 1972 to the planet Neptune by her father. A co-production by Legendary Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment, with a story by David S. It was nominated for numerous Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and Hathaway was awarded a Saturn Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. The S.C.P Foundation: The Last Hunt

The S.C.P Foundation: The Last Hunt is a 2026 American science fiction action film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Guillermo del Toro and Reeves from a story by David Twohy and del Toro. It is the final installment in the S.C.P Foundation film series and is based on SCP-682. The film features returning star Lauren Cohan reprising her role as Alice Miller, with Vera Farmiga returning as Alice's sister Carol, alongside Norman Reedus, Donald Glover, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danai Gurira, Laurie Holden, Paul Giamatti, Bryan Cranston, Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Henry Cavill, Mckenna Grace, Chad Coleman, and Laurence Fishburne. Alice has captured several S.C.P creatures and sent them to the facility, but has turned up unlucky in locating the last major creature. She contemplates giving up finding it, but while getting water in the creek, she spots an alligator looking animal and follows it, but also takes note of it's rotten body, and realizes she has found the creature she hoped to find. The Last Hunt opened in theaters on December 9th, 2027; it became the best-reviewed film in the series to-date and became its highest-grossing film, earning $2.690 billion worldwide. The film received critical acclaim, with strong and near unanimous praise for its ambition, visual effects, cinematography, action sequences, musical score, uncompromising tone, Reeves' direction, story, Cohan's performance, emotional weight, and satisfying conclusion to the series.

The Mystery of Bigfoot

The Mystery of Bigfoot is a 2022 American neo-Western action thriller film written, co-produced, and directed by David Twohy. It is based on the myth of the same name. It follows four individuals who are terrorized by an unknown presence in a hotel they are staying in, and they realize they must escape to survive. One of them is Vivian Kyle (Hathaway), who seeks the help of her mother Willow (Curtis) as she is an exorcist for spirits. Doors was released to theaters on May 30th, 2024, to critical and universal acclaim, earning praise for its atmosphere, Shyamalan's direction, visuals, James Newton Howard's musical score, cinematography, emotional depth, Hathaway's performance, and surprise plot twist. It was also a box-office success, grossing $745 million worldwide against a budget of $189 million and a break-even point of $200 million. Many have considered it to be Shyamalan's best horror film of all time, as it is the highest-rated horror film in his career based on rotten tomatoes, behind his best-reviewed film, Gods.

The S.C.P Foundation: The Sculpture

The S.C.P Foundation: The Sculpture is a 2025 American science fiction action film based on SCP-173 / The Sculpture. It was produced by Legendary Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment and written by Ridley Scott and Guillermo del Toro. Alice is told of an S.C.P creature called the Sculpture, known scientifically as SCP-173. The S.C.P Foundation: Land of Monsters is a 2024 American science fiction action film and the second installment in the S.C.P Foundation film series. Alice is now currently tracking SCP-096, her first S.C.P creature she has been hunting since the previous one. After losing both the creature and her consciousness, she awakens to reunite with her sister Carol, who helps her once again. The film opened in theaters on May 16th, 2024; the film received generally positive reviews with critics praising the story, Reeves' direction, action sequences, musical score, cinematography, visual effects, and the performances of the cast, particularly that of Cohan. It was a box-office success, grossing $790 million worldwide on its $178 million budget. A sequel, The S.C.P Foundation: The Sculpture, was released a year later shooting back to back-to-back with this film.

City of Darkness

It is widely considered to be one of the greatest films ever made, as well as one of the best game adaptions of all time.
