Synopsis

The S.C.P Foundation: The Last Hunt is a 2026 American science fiction action film directed by Matt Reeves and written by Guillermo del Toro and Reeves from a story by David Twohy and del Toro. It is the final installment in the S.C.P Foundation film series and is based on SCP-682. The film features returning star Lauren Cohan reprising her role as Alice Miller, with Vera Farmiga returning as Alice's sister Carol, alongside Norman Reedus, Donald Glover, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danai Gurira, Laurie Holden, Paul Giamatti, Bryan Cranston, Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Henry Cavill, Mckenna Grace, Chad Coleman, and Laurence Fishburne. Alice has captured several S.C.P creatures and sent them to the facility, but has turned up unlucky in locating the last major creature. She contemplates giving up finding it, but while getting water in the creek, she spots an alligator looking animal and follows it, but also takes note of it's rotten body, and realizes she has found the creature she hoped to find. The Last Hunt opened in theaters on December 9th, 2027; it became the best-reviewed film in the series to-date and became its highest-grossing film, earning $2.690 billion worldwide. The film received critical acclaim, with strong and near unanimous praise for its ambition, visual effects, cinematography, action sequences, musical score, uncompromising tone, Reeves' direction, story, Cohan's performance, emotional weight, and satisfying conclusion to the series.

  • misterwolf Plot: Alice Miller arrives at her ex-husband Bill Mason's house to retrieve her daughter, Alexis. He attempts to goad Alexis into staying by hitting her, but Alice retaliate by saying "You touch her one more time and I will murder you!". She then drives away with Alexis in the car and gives Bill the middle finger.

  • misterwolf Two years later, in 2027, Alice lives with Alexis in a cabin near a creek. She had hoped to find SCP-682, but has given up; she has chosen to spend more time with her daughter regardless. Alice's sister Carol, who is now married to their friend Deckard Walker, tells Alice that there were several sightings of SCP-682, and she tales note of this and arms herself before heading down to the creek to collect water.

  • misterwolf Carol and Deckard find Bill's body mutilated, and they suspect that SCP-682 was the culprit. While collecting water from the creek, she notices a mysterious alligator-like creature and follows it. It suddenly attacks her, and she notices it's rotted appearance, deducing that it is SCP-682. She alerts Carol, Deckard, Willard Kane and his son Hal.

  • misterwolf Will Raymond arrives to help, and Alice accepts his offer. Carol suddenly reveals that she is pregnant, while Alexis reveals she has a baby half-sister, who was kidnapped by Michael Warren. Alice promises to Alexis that she will find her sister. Willard Kane Jr., Willard's other son and Hal's older brother, is hospitalized by SCP-682 after accidentally stumbling across it. Hal visits him in the hospital, while Alice continues her pursuit of the creature

  • misterwolf Alice later reveals to Willard that the creature had murdered her mother in her youth; her mother was a scientist studying S.C.P creatures, and had been brutalized and sliced in the throat by SCP-682, fatally. She also finally reveals that S.C.P stands for "Secure. Contain. Protect." As the group leaves, SCP-682 arrives and murders Raymond, while Deckard is seriously injured.

  • misterwolf Deckard is taken to the hospital and Doctor Walters and her assistant Mary manage to save his life. Alice, still slightly sore from her severe burns sustained from her hunt two years ago, puts ice her right arm, while Carol's baby is revealed to be healthy and has an a-positive blood type. Alice and Willard head out to pursue the creature into the forest; Alice also calls an old friend, Blake Valentine, to rescue Alexis' baby sister from Warren. She manages to find the baby and shoots Warren dead before driving away. Amy Miller, the youngest of the Miller siblings and a hunter, joins Alice and Willard to take the creature down. Professor Wright, the head scientist, is finally arrested for letting the creature kill Alice's mother years ago, (which Carol had revealed to the police earlier).

  • misterwolf Carol discovers that Warren kidnapped Alexis' sister because SCP-682 was hunting her, as he programmed it to do so. Carol alerts Alice that Warren set them up, before Warren, revealed to have actually survived Blake's earlier attack, attempts to kill Carol, but she stabs him in the face and escapes. Alice and the group shoot the creature several times, but it is fruitless as it is too fast, while Alice and Carol's father Harold arrives and tranquilizes the creature. As they drag the creature and arrive in a cave, it wakes up and fatally injures Harold, who tells the group to run before blowing the cave up with explosions he had set within it in case something went wrong.

  • misterwolf Alice and the group finally pin the creature down on bridge, and they engage it in a brutal fight. After 3 hours, Alice finally kills it and avenges her mother's murder. However, as it dies, the bridge suddenly collapses; as she holds on to both ropes that Amy and Willard hold on to, Willard himself tells her that she can't save them both, and lets go of the rope so she does not have to choose. Alice pulls Amy's rope and saves her.

  • misterwolf Alice and Amy reunite with Carol and the others, and tearfully explains that Willard gave his own life to save her and Amy. Blake gives Alice Alexis' sister, and holds her for the first time, and she says "All this fuss over you, so unnecessary"". She names her "Aaliyah" and decides to raise her as her own. A few months later, Carol has given birth to her son, naming him "Gabriel", after her and Alice's late friend Gabriel Santoro. Alice finally retires and goes home with Alexis and Aaliyah, and then the end credits roll.
