Transformers: Devastator

Transformers: Devastator is a 2025 American science fiction action film directed and co-written by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Zack Snyder and Jerry Bruckheimer. The Hunt for the Hydra

The Hunt for the Hydra is a 2025 science fiction action film and the fifth installment in the Sea Monsters Universe. The Terrors of the Lusca

The Terrors of the Lusca is a 2025 science fiction action film and the fourth installment in the Sea Monsters Universe. The film was written and directed by Lexi Alexander and produced by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Gore Verbinski from a screenplay by James Wan. In the film, set two months after the events of The Serpent, Lucía and Sienna are forced to confront a creature far more dangerous than their previous foe; the Lusca, a shark-like monster with octopus tentacles. The Terrors of the Lusca opened in theaters on February 6th, 2025; the film was a financial success, grossing $918 million worldwide. It also received universal acclaim like the first film, with praise for its visual effects, action sequences, themes, direction, performances (particularly Calle, Rose, Steinfeld, and Hayek), musical score, screenplay, stunts, and emotional weight. A sequel is in development with the legacy cast, including Calle, Rose, and Hayek, set to reprise their roles again.

Bukavac

Bukavac is a 2025 science fiction action horror film directed by David Fincher and produced by Zack Snyder and Jerry Bruckheimer from a screenplay by James Wan. It is the third installment in the Sea Monsters Universe and is a follow-up to The Bloop. The film stars returning franchise regulars Anthony Ramos, Katherine Waterston, Viola Davis, and Salma Hayek, with newcomers Hailee Steinfeld, William Nadylam, Donald Glover, Oscar Isaac, Pierce Brosnan, and Ian McShane. In the film, Carlos González must team up with his cousin to take down a humanoid sea monster. Upon its release in January 3rd, 2025, it received generally unfavorable reviews, though Steinfeld's performance was praised. The film was a financial failure, grossing only $263 million worldwide against marketing costs between $300 million. A sequel to The Serpent entitled The Terrors of the Lusca is in development, its release date being one month later.

The Bloop

The Bloop is a 2024 science fiction action film directed by Steven Caple Jr. and produced by Zack Snyder and Jerry Bruckheimer from a screenplay by Steven Spielberg. It is the second installment in the Sea Monsters Universe and a follow-up/prequel to The Serpent. In addition to Salma Hayek returning from that film as Sofia Herrera, it stars Christian Serratos as the younger Sofia with Dylan O'Brien, Tom Holland, Millie Bobby Brown, Tika Sumpter, David Strathairn, and Christopher Judge. In the film, a pregnant Sofia is forced to team up with her abusive ex-husband and his more reasonable superior to investigate the presence of a sea monster terrorizing the North Atlantic. The Bloop opened in theaters on July 31st, 2024; the film was very well-received by critics and audiences, who praised the action sequences and the performances of Serratos and Hayek. However, it was a box-office disappointment, grossing only $472 million worldwide, failing to break-even of its $178 million budget. Another follow-up entitled Bukavac was released the following year, while a proper sequel to The Serpent entitled The Terrors of the Lusca is in development

The Serpent

The Serpent is a 2024 science fiction action film written and directed by Lexi Alexander and produced by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Gore Verbinski. Based on the Sea Serpent folklore creature, it is the first installment in the Sea Monsters Universe. The film stars Sasha Calle and Ruby Rose as well as an ensemble cast of Anthony Ramos, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Ron Livingston, Viola Davis, Laurence Fishburne, Idris Elba, Salma Hayek, Michael Keaton, and Bradley Whitford. Its story follows a young biologist and professional diver, and an ex-navy scout swimmer who must go on a near-suicide mission to destroy a dangerous serpent in the North Atlantic. The Serpent opened in theaters on January 15th, 2024; the film grossed $891 million worldwide and received universal acclaim, with praise for its visual effects, score, the action sequences, emotional weight, and the performances of Calle and Rose. Two follow-ups set before this films events were also produced; the first, entitled the Bloop, was released six months later, and second, entitled Bukavac, was released one year later. A proper sequel entitled The Terrors of the Lusca is set to be released one month after Bukavac.

I Am Vengeance

I Am Vengeance is a 2025 American gothic action thriller film written and directed by Adam Wingard and produced by Zack Snyder and Robert Eggers. It is heavily influenced by Norse Mythology. The film stars Emma Watson and Everleigh McDonell alongside Ethan Hawke, Sam Neill, Willem Dafoe, Djimon Hounsou, Anya Taylor-Joy, Michael Caine, and Cate Blanchett. Its story follows a widowed hunter who raises her young daughter in the Icelandic snow forests. When she discovers that she is the child of a goddess, and her daughter gets kidnapped by her own half-brother, she goes on a rampage to get her back while also studying who she really was. I Am Vengeance opened in theaters on January 16th, 2025; it was a financial success, grossing $1.45 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing release of 2025. The film received universal and critical acclaim, with praise for Watson and McDonell's performances, screenplay, direction, story, visual effects, emotional weight, action sequences, themes, and Hans Zimmer's musical score. It received numerous awards and nominations with Watson and McDonell each winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress; Hawke won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor as did Neill and Dafoe, while Blanchett was awarded an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. A sequel is currently in development.

Luthor

Luthor is a 2024 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Lex Luthor. Produced by Legendary Pictures, The Stone Quarry, and DC Films, it is the third installment in the DC Legacy Universe. The film was directed by Steven Caple Jr. and written by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and David S. Goyer, and stars Gustaf Skarsgård as Lex Luthor alongside Mila Kunis, Bruce Greenwood, James Spader, Harry Lennox, Alfre Woodard, Patrick Stewart, and Kurt Russell as Lionel Luthor. In the film, Lex Luthor seeks redemption for his past crimes when he finds himself battling the evil Brainiac. Luthor opened in theaters on November 2nd, 2024; it received generally positive reviews with praise for the action sequences and Skarsgård, Kunis, Spader, and Russell's performances, but criticism for its predictable story and lack of ambition. It was box-office hit, grossing $718 million worldwide against a budget of $140 million. A sequel is in development.

Raven is a 2024 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by Legendary Pictures, The Stone Quarry, and DC Films, it is the second installment in the DC Legacy Universe. The film was directed by Gareth Edwards from a screenplay by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and David S. Goyer, and stars Millie Bobby Brown as the eponymous character alongside Tom Holland, Chosen Jacobs, Billy Dee Williams, Taika Waititi, Jada Pinkett Smith, Peter Stormare, and Milla Jovovich. In the film, young Rachel Roth must confront her past when dealing with her powerful demon father Trigon and must protect Gotham City from him. Raven premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on December 6th, 2024, and was released on December 15th; it received generally positive reviews with critics and audiences praising its screenplay, action sequences, themes, Brown's performance, Edwards' direction, score, characters, and special effects but criticizing its story and lack of predictability. It was also a box-office success, grossing $817 million worldwide. A sequel is in development.

The Age of Krypton

The Age of Krypton is an American science fiction superhero drama television series created and developed by Zack Snyder, based on the DC Comics Kryptonian race, as well as Kara Zor-El. It is not related to either the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) or James Gunn's upcoming DC Universe, instead focusing on different versions of the characters with the exception of Kara Zor-El and General Zod. will consist of six seasons, all of which will focus on both the Kryptonian Wars and the impending demise of the planet. The series stars Sasha Calle and Michael Shannon who reprise their roles as Kara Zor-El and General Zod from the DCEU in different interpretations, alongside Josh Brolin, William Nadylam, Ryan Gosling, Dan Stevens, Evan Peters, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Penélope Cruz. The pilot episode, A Darkness Begins, aired on July 14th, 2024; the series received acclaim from critics, fans, and audiences, who praised the storytelling, cinematography, action sequences, Snyder's writing and direction, visual effects, emotional weight, Calle and Shannon's performances, characters, innovative war scenes, and the score. A second season was ordered at the time of the pilot episode's release, and it will air on December 1st, 2025.

Batman

The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Zack Snyder and Tim Burton, and stars Liam Hemsworth as Bruce Wayne alongside Sienna Miller, Giancarlo Esposito, Bryan Cranston, Hugo Weaving, Liev Schreiber, Willem Dafoe, Jim Caviezel, John Travolta, and Ian McKellen as Alfred Pennyworth. The film follows a young Bruce Wayne who is forced to make allies when dealing with a crime kingpin known as the Joker. Batman was released on February 8th, 2024; the film received critical and universal praise for its direction, story, visual style, action sequences, themes, performances–particularly Hemsworth, Miller, Cranston, Weaving, and McKellen–stylistic cinematography, and emotional depth. It was also a financial success, grossing $891 million worldwide. A sequel entitled Batman Unchained is in development, named after the cancelled Batman & Robin sequel.

Spider-Man Beyond Fire

Spider-Man Beyond Fire is a 2027 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. The film stars Gabriel Luna as Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man alongside Emma Stone, Jake Gyllenhaal, Kirsten Dunst, Caleb McLaughlin, Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Justice Smith, Zendaya, Tobey Maguire, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Michael Shannon. In the film, Miguel O'Hara and the rest of the Spider Society must enter the multiverse to stop a resurrected Mysterio and escaped convict Alonzo Lincoln from destroying it. Spider-Man into the Dark Multiverse

Spider-Man into the Dark Multiverse is a 2026 American dystopian superhero film based on the Marvel Comics characters Miguel O'Hara and Peter Parker.
