  • misterwolf S1 EP1 -- A Darkness Begins: The planet Krypton now has a civil war, with General Zod leading his army against the Grand Council, who commands a robot armada against them. Young librarian and historian Kara Zor-El becomes concerned by the war, and realizes that Zod is trying to free Krypton from control of the council, having deduced that the planet is under bureaucratic rule. Kara and her uncle Jor-El learn that the planet will explode in six years. The council dismisses their fact as a theory, forcing Zod to continue fighting them. Zod, who has been Jor-El's friend for years, supports his claim about Krypton's fate, and he promises to him and Kara that he will force the council to surrender and accept that the planet will die in six years. Kara speaks with her mother, Alura, who reveals that she has prepared a small ship for Kara to use when the time comes. Jor-El, Zod, and Alura tell Kara that they cannot go with her, as the ships that will take the survivors can only fit one individual inside; a heartbroken Kara begs them to take their ships, but there would not be enough time. Kara reluctantly accepts her fate as a survivor and decides to leave when the planet explodes. The armada attacks Zod's safehouse, and he holds them off long enough for the family to escape. The safehouse suddenly explodes, leaving Zod's fate unclear.

  • misterwolf S1 EP2 -- Regaining Hope: Kara, Jor-El, and Alura are hiding in a cave near Zod's safehouse. Kara recounts the final days of her father, Zor-El; in the war against the alien Brainiac, Zor-El and Zod are leading a charge against their adversary. The charge fails, and Zor-El is captured and tortured by Brainiac. Zod, Alura and a young Kara are also in Brainiacs's custody, but Zod is able to break free and kill the guards. He saves Alura and Kara, but Zor-El, knowing that as long as Brainiac is alive Alura and Kara will never be safe, refuses to leave and instead gives Zod and Alura time to escape. Zor-El battles Brainiac in his trophy room while Zod takes Alura and Kara into a pod in Brainiacs's ship. All three enter, but Brainiac notices it. To save them, Zor-El kills Brainiac, and then sacrifices himself by crashing the ship into the tallest building of the war-torn Argo City. The three emerge from the pod, and a heartbroken Kara subsequently says "Thank you, father...." before it fades back to the adult Kara. The cave's blockage is kicked down by a shadowy figure, and when he steps forward, his voice and face reveals his identity: Zod himself, who survived the explosion in the safehouse.
