  • misterwolf @nickienicks @castingsinmyblood @otsutsuki @pumpkinchowcorg @shatteringjourney and @robertcooper Not intended to be a good film by any means. It's just meant to jumpstart the events of The Serpent, which is obviously the first installment in the Sea Monsters Universe and arguably the better of three films in this franchise so far. Enjoy the few good things about this one.

  • misterwolf Deducing that the creature is still aboard the ship, Carlos orders a perilous hunt for it. Gabriel and Harry are both executed by the Bukavac when they find it, while Rodriguez sacrifices himself to weaken the beast.

  • misterwolf Olivia and Cassie overpower the beast with machine guns, but it escapes. Upon returning to the docks, the creature attacks Willow Reynolds. To save her, Carlos and Cassie engage the Bukavac in a violent fight; the fight ends with the beast wounding Carlos and kidnapping Olivia, who has taken Willow to safety. Cassie, unbeknownst to Carlos, takes the ship and tracks the Bukavac down. She discovers and enters its den, only for the beast to severely damage the ship. She spots Olivia and frees her, but they are attacked again by the Bukavac; however, Cassie grabs a grenade launcher at fires it at the creature's head, killing it.

  • misterwolf In the aftermath, Carlos initially chastises Cassie for taking his ship, but then says "Not bad, kid", and then hugs her. He then rediscovers his past romance with Olivia, while Cassie, under the instructions of Sofia, tells them of a Spanish biologist they should recruit when they join Olivia's sister on her ship. Cassie also tells them that this biologist is also a diver, and reveals that she is the daughter of Sofia. When Carlos asks if she knows her name, she replies "Lucía Herrera", and then the end credits roll.
