When slacker reality TV contestant Jud Plato is mysteriously chosen by a dying alien to inherit a powerful Green Lantern ring, he gains the ability to create anything he can imagine—but his reckless, immature antics immediately draw the ire of the universe's most rigid and orderly Lantern, Sinestro. As a race of yellow alien conquerors targets Earth and Sinestro's thirst for control threatens cosmic balance, Jud must overcome his own insecurities, win over his disapproving mother, and prove that even a chaotic goofball can be a true hero—if he can just stop using the ring to make giant condoms, Elmo humping Barbara Walters, and green lap-dancing babes.
