Fan Casting Ted McLaughlin in Robert Smigel's Green Lantern

The Plato family's neighbor, a genial, slightly bumbling father who, when Sinestro's broadcast causes chaos, immediately decides to loot the Plato Pharmacy. Ted is not a villain—he's an ordinary man who, when order breaks down, immediately turns to self-preservation. His sheepish apology to George ("Sorry, George, but you know how these Armageddon things go") is both funny and sad. He gets chased by Jud with a broken Preparation H bottle, puked on via Ipecac, and ultimately flees in panic.
