Black Widow and Hawkeye is a 2009 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name. The film was directed by Sam Mendes from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, and stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow alongside Jeremy Renner, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Rachel Weisz, Samuel Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Emily VanCamp, Mike Colter, Jon Bernthal, Ben Barnes, Dwayne Johnson, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Frank Grillo, Callan Mulvey and Scott Adkins. Set after the events of 9/11, The Iraq War and 7/7, Black Widow and her family use this as an advantage to escape Dreykov's forces. After Russia launches a war on Europe, Black Widow and her sister join forces to join SHIELD to stop Russia but they run into a deadly military legend. Black Widow and Hawkeye premiered at events around the world on June 29, 2009, and was released in the United States on July 9, simultaneously in theaters. It is the fourth film in Phase one of the MCU. Black Widow broke several box office records and grossed over $379 million worldwide. The film received positive reviews from critics, with praise for the performances, particularly those of Johansson, Renner, Adkins and Pugh, and the action sequences.

Ms Marvel is a 2009 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures, it is the 3rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, with Geneva Robertson-Dworet also contributing to the screenplay. Rosie Huntington Whiteley stars as Carol Danvers, alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Set in 1995, the story follows Danvers as she becomes Captain Marvel after Earth is caught in the center of a galactic conflict between two alien civilizations. Ms Marvel premiered in London on February 27, 2009, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 8, as part of Phase one of the MCU. The film grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide, making it the first female-led superhero film to pass the billion-dollar mark. It became the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2009 and was the 23rd-highest-grossing film of all time during its theatrical run. The film received generally positive reviews from critics with praise for the performances of the cast, particularly that of Whitley.

The Incredible Hulk 2008

The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures, it is the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It was directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Zak Penn, and stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner alongside Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, and Christina Cabot. In the film, Bruce Banner becomes the Hulk as an unwitting pawn in a military scheme to reinvigorate the "Super-Soldier" program through gamma radiation. Banner goes on the run from the military while attempting to cure himself of the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk premiered at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on June 8, 2008, and was released in the United States on June 13, as part of Phase One of the MCU. It received praise for its action sequences and was considered an improvement over the 2003 film, but it was criticized as lacking in depth. The film grossed $264.8 million worldwide, making it the lowest-grossing film of the MCU.

Iron Man is a 2008 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It grossed over $585 million, becoming the eighth-highest grossing film of 2008. The film received praise from critics, especially for Downey's performance, as well as Favreau's direction, visual effects, action sequences, and writing.

The Winter Soldier: Black Ops 2010

The Winter Soldier: Black Ops is an 2010 American Spy Espionage film that was directed by Sam Mendes, Produced by Kevin Feige and was distributed by Marvel Studios. The film takes place after the events of Captain America: World At War and focuses on Bucky's time during the cold war from 1961-1985 where he is given orders from the government to kill Spanish Terrorist; Ulysses Klaue. The film sees Orlando Bloom, Tom Hanks, Stephen Lang and Michelle Williams reprise their roles with Leonardo DiCaprio, Pedro Pascal, O'Shea Jackson Jr and Javier Bardem. The Winter Soldier: Black Ops was released on October 8th 2010 to positive reviews. The film received praise for its direction, Bardem's performance and it's depiction of the cold war but it's runtime received criticism. The brief appearance of Osama Bin Laden received controversy as the film showed his early days as the leader of Al-Qaeda.

Justice League: Battlefield is a 2010 American Superhero film that was directed by George Miller and was produced by Geoff Johns and written by David S Goyer. The film has an ensemble cast of Christian Bale, Brandon Routh, Megan Gale, Adam Brody, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Alexander Skarsgård, Jake Gyllenhaal, Keri Russell, Anna Popplewell, Ben Barnes, Alexandra Daddario, Andrew Garfield, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Kate Bosworth, Sam Huntington, Nathan Fillion, Ian McShane, F Murray Abraham and Helen Mirren. The film sees the Justice League reunite with new members to battle the dark warrior Steppenwolf and his army of parademons. Justice League: Battlefield was released on July 18th 2010 and received mixed reviews.

Unlike its predecessor, Empire met with mixed reviews from critics, and fans were conflicted about its darker and maturer themes than those of the lighthearted adventure GOTG. Critics praised the expressive features and characterization of the CGI character Thanos.

The film has a Ensemble cast Henry Cavill in the role with established actors such as Mark Addy, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey, Iain Glen, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Richard Madden and Maisie Williams. Captain Britain: Renaissance Was released on November 12th 2009 and received critical acclaim. Captain Britain Renaissance has been called one of the best films of all time and one of the most influential films of all time. A sequel was released in 2010.

The film stars Tom Cruise, John Krasinski, Matt Damon, Sam Worthington, Eric Bana, Ewan McGregor, Winona Ryder, Idris Elba, Will Smith, Christopher Eccleston, Daniel Radcliffe, Bonnie Wright, David Hasselhoff, Michelle Rodriguez, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Evanna Lynch, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Sam Elliott, Jon Bernthal, Megan Fox and Christophe Waltz. Fantastic Four: Quantuminan 2009

Fantastic Four: Quantumania is a 2009 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Fantastic Four and Ant-Man And The Wasp. Produced by Marvel Studios, it is the sequel to Fantastic Four (2005) and Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007). The film was directed by Tim Story, written by Jeff Loveness, and stars Ioan Gruffurd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Ewan McGregor, Winona Ryder, Kerry Washington, Julian McMahon, Mark Hamill and Christoph Waltz. In the film, the Fantastic Four, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are transported to the Quantum Realm along with their family and face MODOK (Hamill) and the return of a world war 2 Nazi. Fantastic Four: Quantumania premiered in Los Angeles on March 6, 2009, and was released in the United States on March 17, 2009. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances (particularly those of Gruffurd, Hamill, and Waltz), visual effects, and musical score, but criticized the plot, screenplay, and tonal departures compared to earlier installments in the franchise.

X-Men: Sinister 2009

X-Men: Sinister was released on January 10th 2009 to mixed but positive reviews.

The film tells the story of how Steve Rogers became Captain America during World War 2 and his battle with Hydra and It's leader the Red Skull. The film stars John Krasinski, Orlando Bloom, Michelle Williams, Stephen Lang, Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Bill Murray, Bruno Ganz and Christophe Waltz. The film was the first film in the franchise that was rated R. Captain America: World At War was released on 28 November 2008 and received critical acclaim from critics and audiences. The film was praised for its Direction, Cinematography, Score, Performances of Krasinski, Bloom, Williams and Waltz, it's detection of the 1940s and it's messages. Krasinski and Waltz would reprise their roles in the next two Avengers films and Bloom and Williams would reprise their roles in Agents Of SHIELD Black Ops.
