Fantastic Four: Quantumania is a 2009 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Fantastic Four and Ant-Man And The Wasp. Produced by Marvel Studios, it is the sequel to Fantastic Four (2005) and Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007). The film was directed by Tim Story, written by Jeff Loveness, and stars Ioan Gruffurd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Ewan McGregor, Winona Ryder, Kerry Washington, Julian McMahon, Mark Hamill and Christoph Waltz. In the film, the Fantastic Four, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are transported to the Quantum Realm along with their family and face MODOK (Hamill) and the return of a world war 2 Nazi.
Fantastic Four: Quantumania premiered in Los Angeles on March 6, 2009, and was released in the United States on March 17, 2009. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances (particularly those of Gruffurd, Hamill, and Waltz), visual effects, and musical score, but criticized the plot, screenplay, and tonal departures compared to earlier installments in the franchise.
