The evil sorcerer Shang Tsung is making an attempt to open a portal between Earthrealm and the Outworld to exact his revenge against his former brothers from the Shaolin Order of Light. It has been the quest of his lifetime, and with the help from the Ninja Clan of Lin Kuei Assassins he is a step closer to achieving his goal. The Lord Protector of Earthrealm, Raiden and Earth's Champions are the only one's standing in his way.
