Erika Januza da Trindade Gomes (Contagem, May 7, 1985) is a Brazilian actress and model. She began her career as an actress in 2012, starring in the miniseries Suburbia. After making a video telling about her life path and professional plans, she performed acting tests and participated in a beauty contest with more than 2 thousand candidates, winning both. Thus, she won the role of the protagonist in the miniseries Suburbia on Rede Globo in 2012. After receiving the call from Globo's casting producer, she was very emotional, and saw her life change completely. With the support of her mother, Erika went to live alone in Rio de Janeiro. The miniseries was successful and received a second season, but it was canceled due to there being no way to continue the story. After work, the actress said in interviews that she learned a lot and grew a lot as an actress and that thanks to the series, she fell in love with the performing arts and decided to pursue an artistic career.
