Description of Acid Zoo:

My more ominous synopsis was too long for the description box so I posted it in the comments. TL; DR: a group of four people are brought to an isolated facility (government ran or otherwise) and expose to a mysterious item referred to as “The Bomb.” Soon thereafter, they begin to experience “changes.” Two rapidly mutate horribly, ultimately left unrecognizable as humans. Of the last two, one is driven mad by various visions and commits suicide before he can begin his “monologue.” The last makes it far enough to be recorded babbling in an unknown language, to be deciphered by the people running the facility. His final message is a mere fragment of a longer dialogue being pieced together.

nathanbates Acid Zoo Item designation CAEI_969, nicknamed “The Bomb.” Exposure of a human being to the item triggers “the countdown”, a series of clicks and hisses of increasing speed over a 20 second period. Upon stopping, the item “detonates”, briefly protruding and contracting yet again. First signs of change in subject occurs at approximately 2 hrs. after exposure. Change varies from subject to subject. Most extreme case: complete corruption of physiology over a 12 hr period. Subject no longer recognizably human. Remains are terminated swiftly (NOTE: Dr. Harrier insists Command that the subjects remains conscious during termination. Further research needed.) Desired effect: alteration of subject’s psychology. At approximately 34 hrs., subject will begin their “monologue.” Event must be recorded and logged in full. Subject expires at approximately 46 hrs. Remains are terminated swiftly. Acquisition of new subjects required for further research.

nathanbates Cast: Dastmalchian, Britton, Olusanmokun and Wincott play the “subjects.” I couldn’t really make my mind up on who I wanted as the final two but I guess I really like the idea of Wincott playing it stark-raving-mad at the end. Lawson plays one of the researchers (Dr. Harrier) who shows the most but still minimal compassion for the damned, such as they are. I’ll ad a few more actors who will mainly be featured as disembodied voices.
