Daniel Noyer (born 1955) is the main character of Song of Horror. Daniel is a publisher and ex-entrepreneur whose failed business venture leads him to become an alcoholic. Drinking cost him his health, his marriage to Sophie, and even his home. Daniel, who has been sober for some time now, has finally managed to secure a stable job and slowly rebuild his life. When Sebastian P. Husher doesn't respond to calls from the publishers of his new book, Etienne Bertrand, a sales-manager, sends Daniel to the Husher's mansion to check out what is going on. What he finds is a home devoid of any life, and when looking in Husher's office he finds a door that shouldn't be there. Little did he know that after entering there was no possibility of leaving.
