nathanbates Almost everything Man of Steel did wrong, Jeff did right in Midnight Special.

- nathanbates @castingsinmyblood Nichols’ style is very low key, shot very matter of factly. What I meant about doing Man of Steel right is emphasizing Clark Kent’s human upbringing. I think Jeff would understand that it isn’t the mythical alien lineage that makes Superman, it’s that he is, at heart, an American Midwestern farm boy.

- castingsinmyblood @nathanbates I won't argue over who did what right in Man of Steel, but you just inspired something; what if someone did a Superman movie as a sort of found footage documentary made by Lois Lane trying to figure out who this mysterious person who saved her was, all the while falling in love with him in the style of Alfred Hitchcock's Laura
