Synopsis

Edward Prendick is shipwrecked on a remote island presided over by the mysterious Dr. Moreau. Edward discovers his host is conducting genetic experiments, and presiding over a race of half-human, half-animal hybrids, as the island has become its own society with Moreau as its god. But it's not all peaceful, as the true nature begins to unfold....and things become dangerous for all involved.

  • mr_blue_sky In the post-credits scene, Jekyll, now going by the alias of “Fredric Stevenson” is rowing along the ocean, when he notices a familiar girl drifting on some wood. Jekyll takes the girl back to America, his new home, and cares for her. The girl finally awakens and wonders what had happened. The girl seems to have amnesia, but can only remember that her name is “Lota” and that she loved a man her age named Edward. Jekyll notices her child-like nature and comforts her, deciding to raise Lota as his own despite her age. It’s revealed that Lota survived the explosion in the climax, though Edward doesn’t know this. The camera pans out of the apartment to show a sign near the building, reading, “IN LOVING MEMORY OF DOCTOR HENRY JEKYLL, TRAGICALLY A TWO-FACED MAN.”. Then, it cuts to black.
