Rurouni Kenshin 2023 is a reboot of the original Rurouni Kenshin which was released in 1996. Ten years have passed since the end of Bakumatsu, an era of war that saw the uprising of citizens against the Tokugawa shogunate. Kenshin Himura is a wandering samurai who seeks atonement for all the lives he took for the Meiji Government. Therefore Kenshin has sworn to never take another life, in order to keep this promise he uses a reversed blade Katana. Meaning that the sharp and blunt sides have switched. With it Kenshin can deal with enemies without killing them and without having give up his skill as a swordsman. Rurouni Kenshin 2023 has an english Dub by Bang Zoom! Entertainment but I'm not a fan of many of the casting decisions that were made.
