Synopsis

Synopsis: After Bucky’s tragic sacrifice in World War II, Steve has almost forgotten all about his old friend Bucky. But, everything changes when Bucky starts terrorizing large parts of Manhattan, just to get Steve's attention. Steve arrives in Manhattan. He approaches the terrorist, but to his shock it turns out to be his friend, James 'Bucky' Barnes. The shocked Steve tries to talk to his old friend, but instead he gets shots fired at him. Captain America blocks the shots with his shield, and the two begin to fight. Steve notices that Bucky has become much stronger, and that he does not have a chance. He manages to stop Bucky long enough for him to have time to get away on his motorcycle. Bucky fires several shots before hearing a high pitched voice in his head informing him that the mission is complete. Bucky steals a car, and drives out of Manhattan.

  • biggord Steve arrives at a smaller S.H.I.E.L.D base in Manhattan, run by Maria Hill. Steve thinks back on how Bucky sacrificed himself for him during World War II, and wonders how it is possible that Bucky is still alive. He explains what happened to Maria, who contacts Fury to get reinforcements. Fury sends one of his best agents to Manhattan to help Steve. Meanwhile, Bucky arrives at a secret base in the middle of nowhere. He is surrounded by secret agents with extraordinary weapons, and each of them wears a vest with the text 'A.I.M'. A.I.M is a notorious organization made up of brilliant scientists, whose goal is to take control of the government. A.I.M and Hydra have been secretly collaborating for a long time, and when Hydra's base was invaded, Strucker handed over his 'Weapon' to A.I.M. At A.I.M, the brainwashed Bucky got the alias, 'The Winter Soldier', and now he's used as a torpedo for A.I.M, and their priority is to exterminate the Avengers. Bucky and the rest of A.I.M bow when a large creature hovers towards them. The same high pitched voice praises Bucky for his good execution of their plan. The leader tells the next step of the plan, and everyone in the room says "Yes Master M.O.D.O.K!" in choir. Steve is waiting for Bucky to hit the next attack, but this time with the help of Sam Wilson, aka Falcon. The two S.H.I.E.L.D agents discuss strategy when grenades are suddenly fired at the base. At the same moment, the lights start flashing in the room, and the same voice that Bucky had heard before starts laughing in all of the speakers. M.O.D.O.K says that he hacked into their system, and that he now has control over the entire building. Chaos erupts as Bucky and dozens of A.I.M soldiers invade the S.H.I.E.L.D base. Maria commands her soldiers to do everything in their power to stop the intruders. She tries to take control of the system, but does not succeed. Steve and Sam, help the other agents clear the way, but the A.I.M soldiers are far too many. Steve and Sam return to the control room and notice that Maria still has not managed to regain control of the system. The three agents come to the conclusion that blowing up the base is the only way out. They block the door and plant explosives all over the control room. Bucky and the A.I.M agents kick open the control room door. Steve destroys a window and the three agents escape. Once out of the building, Sam pulls the trigger and the base explodes. The agents exhale deeply until Bucky limps out of the flames, with extremely much blood on his face. Steve goes to confront him once and for all. Steve gives Bucky a hard blow to the head and pushes him to the ground. In tears Steve begs Bucky to remember him. Bucky seems completely gone, until he suddenly gasps for Steve's name and hugs him. Mid credit scene: M.O.D.O.K finds out the news that he has failed to kill Captain America. He breaks out in a blind rage until a TV screen is turned on, and a character starts talking to him. The character begins to blame him for the failure, and M.O.D.O.K replies "Sorry Master Zola, this is not going to happen again, I swear.". Post credit scene: Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne work in their lab. Hank and Janet have long worked on a project they call 'Pym Particles'. When they finally finish the project, Janet offers to become a test subject. They run the project, and Janet shrinks drastically.
