Mad Luigi: The Desert Warrior
Mad Luigi: The Desert Warrior (or just simply Mad Luigi) is a 2024 American dystopian action film written and directed by George Miller. The film is based on the Nintendo character Luigi, it stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the title role, alongside Robert Downey Jr., Cillian Murphy, Reese Witherspoon, Kevin Durand, Kristen Bell, and Benedict Cumberbatch. It is set in the year 2058, where the world is a desert wasteland, where many heroes go insane, but some heroes become warriors, and Mad Luigi is the most feared of them, and he faces Antasma. The film was released in theaters on April 19th, 2024; it initially received a polarized response but was a financial success, grossing $845 million worldwide. Critics reassessed the film as one of the greatest action films of the 2020s. A sequel is in development.

It is a spin-off to the 2022 film Sonic the Hedgehog 2, taking place where that film ended. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Keanu Reeves in the title role, alongside Morena Baccarin, Ben Schwartz, Idris Elba, Frank Welker, Jim Carrey, and McKenna Grace. Shadow the Hedgehog was released on February 12th, 2022. It grossed over $986 million worldwide, making it the second-highest-grossing film of 2022. The film received mixed reviews, with critics praising its action sequences, musical score, performances (particularly Reeves, Baccarin, and Welker), visual effects, cinematography, Snyder's direction and the film's realistic imagination of the title character, while criticizing its screenplay, story, the overly dark tone, violent content, and perceived lack of ambition. The R rated certification to this film was also met with a polarized response. A sequel, Shadow the Hedgehog: Reign of Black Doom, was released 2 years later.

The Tyranny of Donkey Kong 2 is a 2022 American monster film based on the Nintendo Games character Donkey Kong and the NES game Donkey Kong Jr. Written and Directed by Matt Reeves, the film stars Andy Serkis and Lou Ferrigno as Donkey Kong and Jack Black as Mario, alongside Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Jacob Tremblay. Mario Warfare
Mario Warfare is a 2022 American action film based on Micah Moore's YouTube film of the same name. It is the first installment in the Mario Warfare film series. Directed by Tim Miller and produced by Moore himself, the film stars Joel McHale and Johnny Depp alongside Lewis Tan, Elizabeth Olsen, James McAvoy, Ludi Lin, Taron Egerton, Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, and Ron Perlman. In the film, the Mario Brothers join the army to fight Bowser, and they ally with the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach, and the Smash Club resistance. Following the critical and financial success of its source material on YouTube, Paramount Pictures brought Miller on board to direct an R-rated adaption to that film, with McHale and Depp being cast in the lead roles. Mario Warfare was released to positive reviews, with praise for Miller's direction, the editing, sound, the emotionally dark tone, faithfulness to the original film, acting, cinematography, story, action sequences and musical score. It was also a commercial success, grossing over $754 million worldwide. A sequel is currently in development.

The Legend of the Thunderbird
The Legend of the Thunderbird is a 2022 American monster film based on the Mythical Creature of the same name. It was directed by Gareth Edwards, and written by Peter Jackson from a story by Jackson, and is the first installment in the Thunderbird film series. The film stars Emma Roberts, Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson, Maurice LaMarche, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Scott Glenn, with James Earl Jones voicing the title character. It tells the story of Maximus, the last of his kind following the murder of his parents by a Fire Hawk; and Svana, a hospital receptionist whose overprotective father refuses to let her live in a new house alone. The film premiered in New York City on October 25th, 2022, and was released on November 14th; it was a financial box-office success, grossing $4.461 million worldwide. The film also opened to critical acclaim upon release, most notably for the action sequences, the emotional weight of its story, direction, the Thunderbird character, groundbreaking visual effects and Roberts' performance. A sequel is set for release on March 20th, 2024.

Skyrim
Skyrim is an upcoming American fantasy monster film based on the video game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The film is directed by Peter Jackson and stars Vin Diesel as the voice of Alduin, with Benedict Cumberbatch, Lenny James, James Earl Jones, Patrick Stewart, and Armie Hammer in supporting roles. Jackson announced that the film would be released theatrically in the fall season of 2021, and it would be rated PG-13. :Plot: Before he was Dovahkiin, he was Marcus Evicus (Armie Hammer), the son of a moth priest and nephew of another, and when he enters skyrim, the Empire lead by the cowardly General Tullius (Guy Pearce) captures him and takes him to Helgen. However, when he goes to the executioner's block, the vile elder dragon Alduin (Vin Diesel) attacks Helgen, which leads Marcus to escape the town with Stormcloak soldier Ralof (Jason Segel) of Riverwood, and warn Jarl Balgruuf the Greater (Benedict Cumberbatch) and eventually go to High Hrothgar to learn the shouts to defeat Alduin.

Brotherhood of Darkness
Brotherhood of Darkness is a 2022 American dark fantasy film based on the Dark Brotherhood Questline set in the video game The Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim. It was directed by Zack Snyder, and is the direct sequel to Nightingale Blood. The film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Idris Elba, James McAvoy, Chuck Norris, Eva Green, Ray Stevenson, Cameron Monaghan, Mckenna Grace, Christian Bale, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Brotherhood of Darkness had its world premiere on December 8th, 2022; releasing 4 days later, it was well received by critics, with Winstead's performance garnering praise. However, the film was a box-office bomb, grossing over $167 million worldwide. A sequel is in development despite its box-office take, with Olsen from its predecessor set to return as Karliah and Winstead set to return as Astrid.

Nightingale Blood

The film stars Elizabeth Olsen as Karliah, a Nightingale who witnessed the murder of her love interest by a colleague. It co-stars James Franco, Paul Bettany, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis. Nightingale Blood had its world premiere on September 17th, 2022; releasing 14 days later, the film was met with largely positive reviews, with praise for the tone, direction, themes, action sequences, visual effects, storyline, and Olsen's performance. It was also a box-office success, grossing over $696 million against a budget of $189 million. It was followed by a direct sequel, Brotherhood of Darkness, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

After Lee Everett (Idris Elba) gets incarcerated for murdering a state senator who raped his wife, the cop car hits a walker causing it to crash, killing the officer driving it, and when Lee gets his cuffs off of the dead cop, the cop turns and attacks Lee, but fortunately, the cop's shotgun was nearby, and he shot the Cop, and then Lee runs away from a herd of walkers and comes across a house belonging to a little girl named Clementine, (Emma Tremblay, McKenna Grace) and he takes her in and raises her as if she was his own.

Luigi's Mansion: Crown of Darkness
Luigi's Mansion: Crown of Darkness is a 2022 American fantasy science fiction action film based on the game franchise Luigi's Mansion. It is the first installment in the Luigi's Mansion film series. The film was directed by Tim Burton and stars Bradley Cooper and Emma Watson as Luigi and Daisy alongside Jonah Hill, Jack Black, Jennifer Lawrence, and Gerard Butler. Set 5 years after Luigi and his friends left Hellen Gravely's Luxury Hotel, King Boo (Butler) managed to free himself, as well as Hellen Gravely (Halle Berry), and traps Luigi, Mario (Black), Toad (Hill), and Peach (Lawrence), only Daisy escapes and eventually manages to free Luigi and give him the Poltergust G-00. Professor Gadd, (Danny DeVito), revealed to be the only one who wasn't found by King Boo, invents a Lightning + Fire ability for the poltergust G-00, to fight King Boo. If it's powerful enough, it may just kill him. Crown of Darkness was released internationally in the United Kingdom on February 6th 2022, and theatrically in the United States 7 days later. The film was met with largely positive reviews, with critics praising the visual effects, story, tone, faithfulness to its source game, performances (particularly Cooper, Watson, and Butler) direction, musical score, action sequences and emotional depth. It was also a box-office success, grossing over $479 million worldwide. A sequel entitled Phantom is the Night was released 2 years later.

The Tyranny of Donkey Kong is a 2021 American monster film based on the NES game Donkey Kong and the Nintendo Games character of the same name. Written and Directed by Matt Reeves, the film stars Andy Serkis as the titular character, along with Jack Black, Nicholas Cage, Mila Kunis, and Jimmy Vee, with Lou Ferrigno physically portraying the character. The Tyranny of Donkey Kong was released theatrically on November 2nd, 2021; it grossed over $491 against a budget of $519 million, becoming the highest grossing film based on a Nintendo character. The film received generally positive reviews from critics, with many highlighting Reeves' direction, action sequences, visual effects, faithfulness and the performances of Serkis and Black, but criticized its runtime and overuse of CGI. A sequel entitled The Tyranny of Donkey Kong 2 was released a year later, which was a critical and commercial failure, while a third sequel was released in 2024, to critical and commercial success, all three films constituting the Donkey Kong Trilogy.

When a child loses his parents to a sith warrior, Wall Reubens (Jason Momoa) grows up and becomes a dark jedi, going by the name Bloodforce, (also portrayed by Momoa, but voiced by Ian McKellen) although being a dark jedi, he is a force of good, driving fear into the hearts of wrongdoers across the galaxy, but is still very angry and violent, and eventually finds the sith warrior who stole his life away from him, Darth Vitruvius, (Vin Diesel) and he kills him and lays down his vengeance forever.

President Golden Freddy
President Golden Freddy is a 2021 American political drama film written, produced, and directed by Jon Avnet. It is a spin-off to the horror game franchise Five Nights at Freddy's and is based on its character Golden Freddy. The film stars Ben Affleck as the eponymous character alongside Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, Chloe Bennett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tyler Perry, Blake Lively, Joaquin Phoenix and Woody Harrelson. President Golden Freddy suffered a difficult production following Avnet's fallout with Warner Bros Pictures, and approaching Paramount Pictures on the distribution instead. The film was released to critical acclaim, with overwhelming praise aimed at the direction, screenplay, cinematography, musical score, the emotional weight of the story, its aesthetics, and Affleck's performance. It also grossed over $172 million worldwide and became a modest success, earning a strong cult following. Deemed "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" in 2027, the film was selected by United States' Library of Congress for their National Film Registry.
