Born on June 2, 1983, in Donskoy, Yuliya Snigir is a prominent Russian actress and model who has successfully navigated both domestic blockbusters and international productions. A former teacher and chess champion, she rose to fame in the sci-fi epic The Inhabited Island (2008) before making her Hollywood debut as the antagonist Irina in A Good Day to Die Hard (2013). Snigir is widely praised for her regal and intense screen presence, which she famously brought to life as the title character in the 2015 historical series Catherine the Great and as the cruel Darya Saltykova in Bloody Lady (2018).
