Biography

Yasmine Al-Bustami is an American actress most known for The Originals (2013), Nashville (2012) and The Chosen (2019-2023). She was born in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to a Palestinian-Jordanian father and Filipina mother, but moved with her family to Texas at the age of three. After receiving a degree in Finance, she decided to enter the world of entertainment, and improved her studies in Chicago, Illinois. She made her television series debut in 2013 as Monique Deveraux in The Originals. In 2021, she joined the main cast of NCIS: Hawai'i as the character Lucy Tara. Her other television credits include S.W.A.T. (2019), I Ship it (2016-2019), Orbital Redux (2018), Do I have to? (2017), The Inspectors (2016-2017) and Switched at Birth (2015). She's also starred in several movies and shorts, the latest of which being Send It! (2021), Finjan (2020) and Lucky (2020).
