Yan Lin is a fictional character from the Italian fantasy comic series W.I.T.C.H., and its adapted media.
She is the paternal grandmother of Hay Lin, one of the Guardians of the Veil and serves as the Guardians' mentor. Yan Lin is wise and perceptive, offering advice to the girls.
When Yan Lin was younger, she was former Guardian of the Veil herself just like her granddaughter, who was a Guardian of Air the same as Hay Lin and the only former Guardian to remain faithful to the Oracle.
In her last days on Earth, Yan Lin assisted her granddaughter and her friends with their magical powers and gave them the Heart of Kandrakar. At her death, she passed into the halls of Kandrakar and became a member of the Oracle's council. By the end of the New Power arc, Yan Lin becomes the new Oracle.
