This issue features Gambit's life prior to him joining the X-Men, starting with his marriage to Bella Donna Boudreaux of the Assassins Guild, followed by forming the Marauders on Mister Sinister's behalf prior to the Mutant Massacre, during which he saved a young Marrow, followed by him rescuing a de-aged and amnesiac Storm (a retelling of their first meeting during Gambit's first appearance).
