Wout François Maria Weghorst (born 7 August 1992) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a striker for Eredivisie club Ajax and the Netherlands national team. Weghorst was born in the Dutch town of Borne. In 47 interlands, he scored 14 goals. His most memorable goal was during the 2022 World Cup, in the match against Argentina. This iconic goal in the very final seconds of the match gave the Dutch team new hope in a thrilling quarter-final.
