The Wounded Neighbor, known as the Wounded Man in the demo, is the first enemy the player encounters. He was one of Sam's nextdoor neighbors, and is found after following a thick trail of his blood into the bathroom of apartment 36. He does not initially appear to be mutated, but he has been driven mad by seeing the Visitor in the sky and attacks the player with his knife. After a turn, he stabs at the wound on his stomach, revealing a giant eye within. He has padlocked the stairwell with a heavy chain. The Padlock Key is found on the ground after killing him.
