First appeared in All-Star Squadron #23 in 1983 and was created by Jerry Ordway and Roy Thomas. Will Everett was an athlete who competed during the 1936 Olympics in Berlin who later became a janitor. After being involved in an accident involving equipment developed by the Ultra-Humanite, he developed the superpower to mimic the properties of anything he touched. He became known as Amazing Man and joined the All-Star Squadron. He is named after an unrelated Amazing Man created by Bill Everett during the Golden Age of Comic Books, as well as Everett, himself.
