The Wild Sentinels were the result of a U.S. funded program in Ecuador to develop evolving, self sustaining Sentinels. The Wild Sentinel Master Mold, designed by Bolivar Trask, was designed to scavenge all technology and material within its test radius and build troops out of it.
Cassandra Nova used Donald Trask III to order the Master Mold to abandon its 'test radius', and send four giant Wild Sentinels to attack Genosha, before copying his DNA and killing him. This attack caused the death of almost all inhabitants of the island, about sixteen millions mutants
Two Wild Sentinels breached the shores of Genosha with ruthless efficiency, unleashing devastation upon the unsuspecting mutant populace. Their onslaught left the once-thriving island in ruins, with only a scant few survivors managing to escape the carnage. In the aftermath, the Sentinels ceased their rampage, entering a state of dormancy. However, the fear of inadvertently reactivating these mechanical behemoths gripped the remaining inhabitants, leaving the shattered remnants of Genosha a haunting reminder of the destructive power they possessed
The solitary one-headed sentinel attacker vanished without a trace, leaving a lingering sense of unease among the survivors. Meanwhile, Toad, and a group of surviving mutants. They repurposed the remnants of the fearsome three-headed sentinel into a memorial dedicated to the memory of Magneto. Despite numerous warnings and apprehensions regarding the potential dangers of meddling they forged ahead with their tribute, infusing the scarred landscape of Genosha with a symbol of remembrance and resilience in the face of adversity
