Written by Don Glut and Roy Thomas and penciled by Alan Kupperberg. In this issue, Iron Man showed his teammates Beast, Thor, Captain America, and Vision a video of an alternate reality in which the Avengers were formed in the 1950's by Jimmy Woo, 3-D Man, Human Robot, Gorilla-Man, Venus, and Marvel Boy. The team went on a mission to rescue President Dwight D. Eisenhower from the Yellow Claw and his minions Great Video, Cold Warrior, Electro, and Skull-Face and were aided by the Yellow Claw's niece Suwan. After rescuing Eisenhower, he ordered the Avengers to disband, believing that their existence would cause a panic. The reality's version of the Avengers later inspired the original Agents of Atlas.
