The mascot of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was designed by Birdo Studio and named after influential Brazilian poet Vinícius de Moraes, better known for writing the lyrics to a lot of bossa nova and MPB songs, including "The Girl from Ipanema". His design is meant to represent Brazil's diverse fauna.
