Tomoya Ohtani is a Japanese composer, bassist and record producer. He has been playing music with a band since high school, and has also been involved in music and sound activities for theater companies before joining the video game company Sega in 1999, who works for Sega, most notably as a sound director for the Sonic the Hedgehog series since the mid–2000s. Ohtani also performs live musical pieces from the Sonic series on bass guitar, often alongside fellow Sega musician Jun Senoue.
