"The Second Star to the Right" is the opening song to the 1953 Disney animated feature film, Peter Pan. It is sung by an offscreen chorus and refers to the entrance to Neverland. It is then heard instrumentally after the opening credits where an offscreen narrator introduces the viewers to the Darling family's house, the house Peter Pan chose particularly because there were people who believed in him. Its melody was actually recycled from a deleted Alice in Wonderland song called "Beyond the Laughing Sky". It was later shown in the opening of Return to Never Land. It's also featured, in instrumental form only, during the scene in which Wendy and Peter reunite. It is also heavily featured in the opening and ending of Disney Dreams!. It is also performed by Jesse McCartney during Disneymania 2.
