The Bimbettes (Individually named Claudette, Laurette, and Paulette) are a trio of fictional characters appearing in Disney's 1991 animated feature film, Beauty and the Beast. They are presumably identical triplet sisters who all fawn over Gaston, the local village hero and main antagonist of the film, despite him not ever noticing them because he has his eyes on Belle. The Bimbettes wear red (Claudette), amber (Laurette), and green (Paulette) tavern dresses respectively and possess differing hairstyles that vary constantly throughout their appearances in the film. Throughout the film, they are shown to be deeply infatuated with Gaston and have been seen to bawl and wail over him wanting to marry Belle instead of either one of them when he attempts to propose to Belle without her approval and permission for there to even be a wedding, but are later seen at the village tavern (presumably their workplace) where they offer their comfort to Gaston after he was humiliated by Belle while his lackey, LeFou cheers him up with a song about his achievements and his greatness. The Bimbettes serve presumably as replacements or substitutes for Belle's sisters in the original fairytale, where the heroine had several older sisters who were all very beautiful and vain, but treated Belle very poorly as if she were a servant instead of family.
