That Man, also referred to as the Gear Maker or Asuka R. Kreutz (Not to be confused with Asuka R.#)
, is a major character in the Guilty Gear series. Widely believed to be responsible for the Crusades, he is the creator of the Gears and their commander Justice, and is the target of Sol Badguy's revenge.
For most of the series, he has three servants—the faithful Raven, the unpredictable I-No, and the mysterious Jack-O' Valentine—, who frequently act on his behalf while he remains behind the scenes. That Man also has a duplicate created by himself, who is more often used in promotional material for Guilty Gear -Strive-.
