Tang Shen (TMNT)

Tang Shen is a fictional character who first appeared in the comic books of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1984 created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, prominently featured in flashbacks from all known incarnations. She is a Japanese woman who was the romantic interest of Hamato Yoshi, a martial artist who served the Foot Clan in Japan as one of its greatest shadow warriors. Tang Shen's beauty attracted another member of the Foot Clan, Oroku Nagi, who was jealous of her relationship with Yoshi before he was eventually killed by Yoshi in order to protect Tang Shen. This act forced Yoshi into exile from Japan, taking Tang Shen all the way to New York City with him before they were eventually both killed by Nagi's younger brother, Oroku Saki who became the Shredder and established a new branch of the Foot Clan in America and avenging his brother.
