Charlette "Suga Mama" Proud née Towne is a fictional character from the Disney animated series of The Proud Family. She is the paternal grandmother of Penny, BeBe, and CeCe, mother of Oscar and Bobby, mother-in-law of Trudy, and wife (and widow) of Percy.
Suga Mama is an elderly, but hip wrestling-loving African-American woman who practices Tae-Bo and very sassy, and always gets straight to the point whenever she talks. In general, she is a very peppy person who still considers herself to be in her youthful prime and can be very active despite her age.
Suga Mama loves her family and puts them ahead of everything else. Although she argues constantly with Oscar, she still loves him and has proven to have his best interests in mind.
