Sly Sludge is a fictional character and recurring villain from the edutainment superhero children's TV series and franchise of Captain Planet and the Planeteers.
He is short and rotund, with patchy, long black hair, shaggy black eyebrows who wears khaki clothes, usually coveralls or some sort of unofficial uniform, black boots, and a pair of yellow rubber gloves with "no" symbols on them.
Sludge is a pollutionist/conman who specializes in tricking others into thinking he and his crew are helping to build something to help the environment just so he can get free space to dump his wastes (oil, toxic sludge, and gunk). He and his dumping crew do not seem to have any real reason for doing this— one would assume that he's building dumps to make money, but he's never shown collecting any money, however it has been stated that "he'll pollute anything for a buck."
