Scat Cat is a fictional supporting character from Disney's 1970 animated feature film The Aristocats. He is a grey French tabby cat who resides in one of the alleys of Paris, is a good friend of O'Malley's, and is the leader of a gang of alley cats who also play jazz music in a band of their own, with Scat Cat being the lead musician playing the trumpet. When Scat Cat and his gang receive word from O'Malley via Roquefort that Duchess and her kittens are in trouble, they rush to O'Malley's aid to lend a paw and do battle with Edgar Balthazar before defeating him by locking him up in a trunk readied to be shipped off to Timbuktu, originally meant for Duchess and her kittens. Afterwards, Scat Cat and his gang are all adopted by Madame Bonfamille, Duchess' owner to be part of a newly-created foundation that she started to make a home for all of the city's alley cats.
