Sasha Carberry Sharma (born c. 2000) is an Irish-British-Indian actress and playwright. She is celebrated for her compelling performances on stage and her insightful original works. Sharma graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin in 2023, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey. Her diverse cultural background and international experiences inform her performances, bringing depth and authenticity to each role.
Sharma has showcased her versatility across numerous theatrical productions. Notable roles include Jocasta in Oedipus Rex, Clytemnestra in Oresteia, Estragon in Waiting for Godot, Celia in As You Like It, and Nina in The Seagull. These performances were staged at esteemed venues such as the Youth Lyric Theatre in Belfast and the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, under the direction of prominent directors including Mary Lynch and Maureen White.
In addition to her stage work, Sharma has appeared in various film and radio productions. She played Clio in a radio play produced by the Gaiety School of Acting and Emma in The Game, a student film directed by Eoin O’Neill. Beyond acting, Sharma co-wrote and performed in BEASTS, a poignant exploration of identity and belonging that premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2024. The play delves into the experiences of two mixed-race women navigating their sense of home and cultural heritage, and Sharma collaborated on the project with fellow actor and writer Morgan Savidan.
Before her training in Dublin, Sharma began her acting studies in Paris. She later moved to Dublin, where English-language training better suited her expressive needs.
