A mermaid from the depths, Ryn finds herself in Bristol Cove, a town with a deep-seated legacy of mermaid folklore. Her journey in the human world begins under the name "Ryn", which she adopts after observing a cartoon through a child's bedroom window. Ryn's primary motivation in coming to Bristol Cove is to find her sister, Donna, who was separated from her following an accidental capture by fishermen.
