Rubeus (ルベウス, Rubeusu), also known as Crimson Rubeus (紅のルベウス, Kurenai no Rubeusu), is a major antagonist of Sailor Moon R. He is a member of the Black Moon Clan from Nemesis. Like Green Esmeraude, Blue Saphir, Prince Demande, and the rest of the Black Moon Clan, he has a crescent moon symbol on his forehead. He has the power to fly, teleport and shoot powerful beams and bursts of dark energy. He led the Spectre Sisters to current-day Tokyo in search of Chibiusa. He did not care for the Spectre Sisters and merely thought of them as pawns to aid him in reaching his goal. He was replaced by Esmeraude, who betrayed him and left him to die aboard his exploding UFO, a similar fate to what he had given the Spectre Sisters.
