Rose Ross is a minor character in Barbie Princess Adventure. She is a rude Indonesian-American influencer and is the biggest aggregator of online content in the world.
Barbie, a vlogger and high school student from Malibu, makes a music video for her song "Try It On" and submits it to Rose Ross. Rose sees the music video and realizes she can exploit Barbie's dream to inspire millions of people. She phones Barbie and tells her she could possibly put Barbie's vlog on one her channels, but first Barbie has to prove herself. Barbie tries to tell Rose that she's about to go on a field trip to Floravia, but Rose doesn't want to wait until after. They strike a deal.
When Barbie is on the plane to Floravia, Rose phones her again after seeing a livestream Barbie did at the airport. Rose tells Barbie she had to be an "all-new Barbie" now that they were working together.
In Floravia, Barbie finds out she was personally invited Amelia, who noticed they look alike. Barbie agrees to switch places with Amelia for a week so Amelia can experience life as a normal girl. Rose phones Barbie again, but Barbie doesn't reveal she has switched places with the princess. Rose reminded Barbie that she had a lot of pressure on her and a big sponsor on the hook.
Barbie interviews Amelia about their experience switching lives. She sends the video to Rose, who has her team edit the video to take Barbie and Amelia's words out of context. Barbie gets upset and ends her deal with Rose, even though Rose said she could make Barbie famous. When Amelia is crowned queen of Floravia, there is a livestream of the celebration. Rose is angry that they got a billion views.
Rose is very direct, condescending and she exploits Barbie's kind personality. Rose was angry when Barbie was successful on her own terms. She is impatient, and she has a team that does everything for her. Rose lacks integrity and is willing to promote faulty products for the sake of getting sponsors or manipulate people's words to get more views.
