Rodrigo Murray

Murray was born in Mexico City on July 24, 1969. He is the son of the late actor Guillermo Murray. Since he was little he wanted to be a doctor, a career that nevertheless had to be abandoned for acting when he grew up later. He began his artistic career in the 90's doing small roles in the cinema in the films of La negra flor and Parejas and later joined the company TV Azteca making his debut in the telenovela Demasiado corazón. Years later, he made appearances in other telenovelas of this same chain such as La hedera next to Silvia Navarro and Sergio Basáñez, and the series Línea Noche where he played 'Raúl', as well as in the cinematographic field he made appearances in films such as Dog love, Crossroads, Nonna's trip among others. From 2006 to 2013 he made his debut as the main conductor of the contest programs Doble cara and Password, thus becoming one of the best known and most popular conductors of the TV Azteca company, and with whom they had a lot of total success. For 2016, he joined the ranks of Televisa with the telenovela Despertar with you, produced by Pedro Damián, where he plays 'Eligio Vallejo' sharing credits with Ela Velden, Daniel Arenas and Aura Cristina Geithner. In 2018, again for the second time, he worked alongside Pedro Damián, in the youth soap opera Like, sharing the scene with Gabriela Zamora, Victor Varona and other actors4. In 2019 he obtained the antagonistic starring role in the telenovela Medicos, a life line produced by José Alberto Castro and where he gave life to 'René' alongside Livia Brito, Daniel Arenas, Grettell Valdez, Rodolfo Salas, Erika de la Rosa and José Elías. He currently acts and is part of the cast of the comedy series Renta congelada alongside Patricia Manterola, Juan Diego Covarrubias and Regina Blandón (in the first season that premiered in 2017) that later in another second season that premiered in 2020 they were replaced by José Eduardo Derbez and Adriana Montes de Oca.
