Riqui is a young woman who lived in Tribulation, New Mexico in 2021 during the Duplicitype attacks. Having sworn herself to the safety of the family of her late girlfriend, Fernanda Lopez, Riqui found herself the temporary guardian of her niece, Gabi, when the rest of her family was killed by the Erica Duplicitype. The two of them teamed up with Erica Slaughter in order to kill it, but interference from the assassin Charlotte Cutter caused Gabi to die in the process. Riqui swore she would find and kill Erica as revenge for Gabi's death.
