Rei Kiriyama (桐山 零, Kiriyama Rei) is the main protagonist of Chica Umino's manga and anime, March Comes In like a Lion.
He is a professional shogi player ranked 5th-dan and a high school student who lives alone in an apartment. Kiriyama initially suffers from depression because of his difficult childhood, where he was orphaned at a young age before being adopted by a professional shogi player, Masachika Kōda.
