Reeve is one of three main antagonists in Season 1 of The Hollow and later, one of the six protagonists in Season 2. He is a member of the rival team with Vanessa and Skeet, and he can move objects and players with his mind. Within his team, he is only one who uses the Ishibo. Physical Appearance Reeve has dark brown skin and hair, black eyes, and a black upper lip. He wears a bright red T-shirt, green cargo shorts, and black and white shoes. When using his power of telekinesis, his eyes glow white. Personality Reeve is aloof and stand-offish. He barely talks to people, even his own teammates, although he shows a mischievous side when he meets Adam, Mira, and Kai. Like Vanessa, he is determined to win at all costs, even if it means leaving others to die. Reeve's clone shows more of his character in the second season, allowing a softer side to come through after a tense relationship with Adam and Mira is assuaged. Reeve may also be gay, like Adam. History Throughout the Series In "Ishibo," Reeve and his teammates steal the Ishibo from Adam. In "Undead," Reeve and his teammates become formally acquainted with their rival players. In "The Riddle," Reeve and his teammates, accompanied by Kai, traverse the Cactus Desert. The Weird Guy teleports them to the Northern Tundra where the ice monster imprisons them in ice. In "Ice," Adam, Mira, and Kai save Reeve, Skeet, and Vanessa from the ice monster. Reeve attacks Adam with the Ishibo putting him in a coma. He and his teammates escape with the Ishibo. In "Cocoon," Reeve fights Adam in the Battle for the Ishibo. In "Colrath," Reeve and his teammates lose the game of the Hollow. In "Alchemy", Kai, Mira, and Adam find Vanessa and Reeve in trances, working as servants in the home of Jules Voulcan. Reeve and Vanessa, unaware of what they were doing, attack the trio. A fight ensues. When Adam becomes similarly entranced and is cured by a vial with his name breaking, they seek out the vials that say Vanessa and Reeve and break them as well. They find Vanessa and Reeve and realize the same thing that happened to them happened to Vanessa, Reeve, and Skeet. The trio informs Vanessa and Reeve of Skeet's death. Reeve doesn't believe them until they show him Skeet's hat. They then come to realize Louie is under a spell and controlled by Jules. Louie nearly kills all of them, but they are able to find his vial and free themselves. They then set off to find Weirdy, aided by a poster indicating his presence at a jazz club. In "Dead End," the new group of five visits Skeet's grave before setting off to find Weirdy. Reeve confides in Vanessa that he still doesn't trust the others and thinks the glitch in the game might be responsible for them not exiting the game when Skeet died. When they come to a division in the road, Reeve and Adam argue over which way to take until Mira finds a hidden metro entrance and they decide to go that way instead. They enter a train, which immediately starts moving. They quickly realize it is full of spirits, ghosts of people who had died in a metro accident and were being forced to re-live it. The group rushes to try to stop the train, but Reeve and Adam can't stop arguing. Kai looks at the control panel and uses a nearby map and Vanessa's knowledge of French to stop the train just before it crashes. The doors then open and they exit at Montmartre, the location of the jazz club. Outside the club, they meet up with another trio: Nisha, Iris, and Tyler. They quickly figure out that those three are the game team for the current game. The two groups fight and during the fight, the game team takes the key Adam has around his neck. With the knowledge of this team, they come to believe that their game has ended and a new one has started, but they somehow remained in the game. Inside the jazz club, they spot Weirdy, but struggle to get near him until he ends up noticing them. He is surprised to see them and snaps his fingers to open a portal and send them away. They end up on a platform precariously balanced on a peak, with Mira in the center and the other four each on a corner. In "Unbalanced," Reeve and Adam argue over who should make a plan for how to escape. During their argument, Vanessa flies away and Kai follows her. While they are gone, the other three tip off the edge. Kai and Vanessa both fly down to catch them. Vanessa is able to catch Mira, but Reeve and Adam both fall into the water below. Reeve surfaces immediately, but Adam does not, forcing Reeve to rescue him. As the others come down to retrieve them, a sea monster emerges from the depths and eats them. Adam and Reeve are rescued by some vikings. The lead viking, Brynhilda, revives Adam with a sardine and then tells them about the sea monster, Tursas, who guards the bay, blocking their passage. She also tells them the others are safe because Tursas only feeds on the full moon, which won't be until that night. Reeve and Adam tell the vikings that they will defeat Tursas, but the vikings don't believe that is possible until they show them their powers. Before they go into battle, Adam clears the air with Reeve, telling him that the conversation he overheard was incomplete and Adam never had intentions of kicking Reeve off the team. In "Fang," Tursas comes out of the water and attacks the ship Reeve and Adam are on. Mira lures Tursas away from them, but she quickly returns and the battle resumes. Reeve and Adam then work together to attack Tursas. Adam punches Tursas in the mouth, knocking out a large fang. After that, Tursas isn't mad anymore. Mira says Tursas is feeling much better. Tursas then leaves them alone. Her fang had been hurting her and wasn't anymore. Mira retrieves the fang and Reeve and Adam accompany her back to the cave. When they are all back together, Mira puts the retrieved fang in the empty spot across from another fang-like protrusion. She and Adam simultaneously pull them and after a moment, and entryway opens up. They end up in a fairly tale world, where they spot some pixies with Weirdy's scarf and sunglasses. They follow the pixies, but are stopped by a troll on a bridge. He demands a goat as payment to cross. They make a goat out of plants and present it to the troll, who accepts it and gives it to Malthezor, who rejects it and eats the troll instead. The force field then disappears and they are able to cross. They follow the pixies to Weirdy. They get the scarf back from the pixies and use that to get answers out of Weirdy. Weirdy tries to send them away again, but stops when Mira reveals she knows his real name, convincing him they aren't just code. Weirdy explains that Hollow Games is making digital clones of all the players and their families and everyone they know. They are using it to make a simulated-life game. Vanessa has the idea that Weirdy can take their digital lives offline and they can go on to live their lives. He agrees to try and tells them they need to survive the game and keep the game team from winning. When they see an explosion in the distance, they realize the game team has figured out how the weapon works. In "Fire," Reeve, Mira, and Adam go through the forest, Reeve and Adam think that since they're just code, they might as well just let themselves disappear, since their real-life selves are just fine. Mira disagrees with them, saying they're more than just code, because they're self-aware. They continue to disagree about whether or not they should try to remain conscious until Vanessa interjects and confesses about the cheating, saying it's all her fault they're stuck. She tells them how she had a lot of prove going into the last game and so she cheated. Adam, Mira, and Reeve leave, angry with Vanessa. She decides to go off on her own to give them space to process. Without Vanessa, Kai rallies the others to be a team and work together. They try to find Vanessa, but can't locate her. They find that the woods are on fire, threatening the animals. Reeve and Adam work together to redirect the water from the river to put out the fire and save the animals. Saving the animals makes Reeve and Adam realize they value the world they're in, even if it's not real. They agree to try to keep the game team from winning. Weirdy appears to them and says he needs more time to take the game offline and they need to stop the game team from winning while he works. He tells them the game team is on the final level and Vanessa has followed them there. He then sends them on to the final level. In "Race," Reeve, Mira, Kai, and Adam find a pyramid. On one side, there's a door with the same symbol as the key the game team took from Adam. Adam and Kai try to open it using their abilities, but it didn't work. Suddenly, it opens and a monkey in an elevator asks them if they're going down. On the elevator, Weirdy tells them he's almost done but he needs more time. They exit the elevator to a car rental counter. They answer some questions about their previous battles and get a key to a car in exchange. The find that the other team has just gotten their car as well and get in their car to follow them. They catch up, but the other team knocks their car upside down and then takes off. Weirdy warns them again not to let the other team finish. They notice some beasts on motorcycles following the other team and themselves. Mira takes one motorcycle and follows after the other team while the others ride in the car. Mira leads them off a cliff and has Reeve catch her before she can fall after them. They reach the finale boss battle, where the game team has to face Olym. They work to keep the game team alive while simultaneously not letting them win. When Iris falls off a cliff, Vanessa reappears to catch her. Vanessa explains she was caught in a sandstorm while trying to slow them down. Eventually, despite their efforts, the game team finishes the boss battle. The portal to exit appears and the game team starts to run for it. Weirdy appears again to tell them he's ready to take the game off line, but they have to get to their own portal. They go to run, but Reeve is injured, so Vanessa and Kai carry him, unwilling to leave him behind. They race to get to their portal before the game team gets to theirs. They end up reaching their portals at the same time. They wake up back in their "home" neighborhood. Later, they gather at Mira's house for a cookout. They grieve the lost Skeet and toast to their lives. Relationships Skeet Skeet is Reeve's teammate and closest friend. In the first season, Skeet seems to be the only person that Reeve doesn't hate, and consequently, they spend the most time with each other. In "Dead End," Reeve grieves the loss of Skeet and blames Adam for his death. Vanessa Reeve's other teammate, Vanessa, is the self-appointed boss of the team, much to Reeve's resentment. In "Undead," she calls him "Reevie," which annoys him. Reeve and Vanessa get into an argument in "Cocoon" during which Reeve calls her and Skeet useless because they cannot find the Ironwood Tree, even though Reeve himself hasn't tried looking. He confesses he would rather win the game alone, but he cannot because of the game rules. Adam In the first season, Reeve and Adam have a very antagonistic relationship. Both boys carry the Ishibo for their teams, and they fight each other for possession of it. In "Ice," Reeve uses the Ishibo to attack Adam from behind, sending him flying into a column of ice. This leaves Adam unconscious and freezing, on the brink of death. They fight each other again in the Battle for the Ishibo. In Season 2, it is revealed that Reeve, Adam, and Mira used to be friends on the same team until Reeve was replaced by Kai. Adam resents Reeve for leaving the team while Reeve resents Adam for kicking him out. Their relationship grows more tense until "Unbalanced," when both boys decide to work together to rescue their friends. After this, they are amicable with each other. Kai Reeve dislikes most people, and Kai is no exception. In "Undead," he objects to Vanessa's invitation for Kai to join their team, and Kai accepts the invitation mostly to spite Reeve. The two taunt each other in "The Riddle," each claiming they could beat each other in a fight. Reeve tries to crush Kai with a cactus, then immediately lies about it to Vanessa. This dynamic does not change after Kai saves his life. In Season 2, Reeve and Kai develop a friendship after Reeve's friendship with Adam is ameliorated. Powers Telekinesis: Reeve possesses telekinetic abilities that enable him to levitate and manipulate living beings and inanimate objects with his mind. His eyes glow white when using this power. He channels his power through hand gestures, and proved capable of using them in conjunction with the Ishibo. Reeve's telekinetic power seems to work only with a direct line of sight.[1] Reeve is unable to overpower Iris while she is at her increased size. Reeve is also unable to use his power on himself at any time.
