An Australian writer and director, McNamee splits her time between Australia and the US. In 2020, she co-founded US-based Rattle Jack Films to house the development of original scripted content that highlights the female voice. Their short film Bella and Bernie premiered at LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2021 and won the Judges Prize and Audience Award at Chicago International REEL Shorts Festival. Their second film, Woman of a Certain Sage, is in post-production. A founding member of the comedy group, So Sketch, Rebecca has written, directed and performed at theaters across Chicago including The Second City, Improv Olympic and Laugh Out Loud.
