Pinkie Pie sings it to Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy separately as a way of inviting them to her pet alligator Gummy's first birthday party. Although the episode shows the song performed through only once—one stanza in front of each friend—the whole song is presumably performed in full each time, hence why Pinkie grows exhausted toward the end.
