Patty Andrews

Patricia "Patty" Marie Andrews (February 16, 1918 – January 30, 2013) was an American singer who achieved global fame as the dynamic lead vocalist of The Andrews Sisters, one of the most successful female vocal groups in history. Known for her signature blonde hair and placement at the center of the trio's close-harmony formation, her versatile mezzo-soprano voice drove the swing, boogie-woogie, and jump blues rhythms that defined the soundscape of the World War II era. She was the youngest and longest-surviving member of the trio, outliving her older sisters, LaVerne and Maxene.
