The song was written by Tinashe, Ricky Reed, and Phoelix, and was produced by Reed, Phoelix, and Zack Sekoff. A remix version of the track with Disco Lines was released on June 6, 2025 and experienced chart success in many countries.
The song is reminiscent of the 1999 TLC song "No Scrubs",[1] echoing its aporophobiac theme.[2]
