Mr. Green (sometimes known as Reverend Green or Mayor Green) is a character from the board game, movie, and franchise Clue. He is portrayed by Michael McKean in the 1985 film. Most commonly, Green is portrayed as a businessman or tycoon (due to the term "green" having connotations with money), sometimes specified to have mob ties (if not outright described as a "mobster" himself). As of the 2023 edition, he is known as Mayor Green and serves as mayor in the region the game takes place in. The film establishes him as working in Washington D.C. for the state department; depending on the ending watched this may be simply a cover for his real identity as an FBI agent. In the original UK edition of the game (known as "Cluedo") he is known as Reverend Green. This was changed in the US edition due to Parker Brothers believing that the American public would object to a parson as a murder suspect.
